I Make You Beautiful

Shouldn’t really matter

That I love more than you will:

If life was fair

We’d get what we give,

Karma wouldn’t be bullshit,

And lot more of us would believe.

I was saying, yes, don’t think of me;

Don’t insult me with your sympathy:

Now when I have nothing, at least

Let me hold onto this image of self-respect.

Givers and takers don’t sustain

How long before I’d be drained?

Yes, you should leave, run away baby,

This image of you is more perfect

The more of you I manage to forget

And the further away you get.
