Pickup Poem

I take the less travelled road

Not for lessons learnt from Frost

Rather to move in incognito mode

Solitude, I pay the cost

As these thoughts having no release

I write when I’d rather talk

My conversations too soon cease

And alone home I walk .

I would have talked to you that day

I wanted to, but you see

It’s tough to know what to say

When you’re this awkward sociallybc1d0b76eaab4c3aa413de3b069b7f53

Explanation for the title: I showed this to my friend, and he asked if this was “my new pickup poem” and then refused to explain what he’d meant. Seeing as to how this is a community of readers and writers, I was hoping somebody here would know what that could mean and be so kind as to enlighten me.
